When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A postal worker, but not a carrier…the person behind the counter at the post office.

What was your first job?
Stocker/Cashier for Save-a-Lot in Conneaut, Ohio (unless mowing lawns counts).

When did you first start working remotely?
As someone who has been designing for 12+ years, I feel like I’ve gone in an out of “remote” work as a freelancer but I guess my first official “full-time” remote job started in October 2014.

What’s your favorite part about remote work?
Being able to create my own schedule, sitting on the couch, petting my puppy all day.

What’s the hardest part about remote work?
Having lack of human interaction when you need it most.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Having to pee.

Biggest pet peeve?
Cyclists riding in the opposite direction in the bike lane.

Guilty pleasure?
Chocolate/peanut butter ice cream.

Where do you see remote work being in 5 years?
More accessible.

One piece of advice for the remote community?
Get out of bed, put some clothes on, get out of the house, go to the gym, go get coffee, go talk to someone, create a routine (even if it’s loosely based), just do something.

Let’s hype you up! Something you wanna promote?
I like to create shirt designs and sell them on Cotton Bureau for fun. Swing through. Pick one up here.
