I run Remote Circle — a job board for jobs you can do at home — filtered by your timezone

Since launching the beta a few months ago, we have been overwhelmed by the response and have ended up with thousands of beta testers signed up and actively using Remote Circle. I’ve mentioned in previous posts how invaluable this has been as we have received a wealth of feedback from users that has allowed us to tweak, add and scrap features very quickly. Until this point, our focus has been primarily on that…the product. Finding ways to make it better, more usable and useful for both companies and candidates. Even though Remote Circle looks like a very simple site, there’s been a lot of work to make it as functional as it is. Endless Hangouts with companies who are using the site, emails from beta testers, Hotjar feedback etc. But we’re not complaining as nothing could be more useful than speaking directly to the people who are using your site and finding out what they feel isn’t working.

From today onwards, we’re opening the beta up to more users. Now everyone will have access to the jobs on Remote Circle. There’s no need to add your email address to gain access anymore. We’re still taking feedback as normal but felt we had outgrown the “closed-beta” stage.

We’re also releasing a brand new user interface today which makes it easier to understand how to use Remote Circle on your first visit. This includes several new features including:

📝 Job pages. View full job details before jumping over to the company site to apply.

📝 Company pages. View more information about companies before applying.

👨‍💻 Candidate accounts

🗂 Save jobs

🔎 Follow companies

👀 Jobs list. View all your saved jobs and new jobs from companies you are following.

📨 Job advice. Weekly job email with top jobs and advice from remote work thought leaders.

🏢 Co-working spaces. Coming soon

And most importantly, we are now beginning to add more jobs. You will notice that we now have 800+ live jobs and will be adding new jobs every weekday from now on.

As well as a brand new interface, we’re also introducing various new features for companies including:

📝 Bio pages. Give candidates more information about your company before they apply for your jobs. All your current job listings will also show up on your Bio page. Candidates can Follow your company to be kept up to date with your recent job posts.

🔗 Broken links. Jobs with broken links will now display as broken. They will no longer be live until a new link is added. You can view these jobs in your control panel and edit them to update the link. You will also receive an automated email from us to let you know that the link is broken.

📅 Expiry dates. Jobs now come with a 60 day expiry date.

🔎 Filters. You can now filter your jobs view by Live, Pending, Deleted, Expiredand Broken Links, rather than looking at all your jobs in a single view.

🔄 Repost. You now have the option to repost Expired jobs which means you can keep your expired jobs in your control panel and whenever you are hiring for that position again, you just hit “Repost” and it will be sent back through to us for approval. You can also edit the expired job before reposting.

⭐️ Featured Jobs. Jobs can still be posted for free but we’re also releasing a few options to increase the reach of your job postings to remote workers with paid Featured jobs. This is our first paid product with RC and will ensure we can continue running in a bootstrapped and profitable way.
