Interplanetary Finance
With todays launch of the first crewed mission to the space station from US soil I’m inspired. I’m inspired to refocus my conference and hopefully our industry at large. Remote Crypto Con is now about creating Interplanetary Finance.
The mission of SpaceX is to make humans an Interplanetary species. The mission of crypto should be to create a financial system that works cross world. If we can set a goal that audacious and communicate it in a way people understand, we’ll create the hope needed to propel our industry forward.
Humans run on hope. The technically inclined among us have already smoked the hopium that Satoshi unleashed on the world. It’s time to spread that cloud to the rest of the worlds population. At RCC we’re featuring some of the best speakers in the industry to do just that.
How does a conference create Interplanetary Finance?
It doesn’t. At least, we won’t be using the even to create a business. What we will be doing is inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs to build the companies that will.
So what is the point of this article?
The future is exciting. We’re well into the century of silicon and already the changes have been immense. Sure there will be pullbacks and setbacks, but on the whole we are in for one hell of a ride.
While we all sit back to watch the historic SpaceX launch today. I hope that as an industry the crypto community starts to think bigger. What could be achieved with an interplanetary financial system? How can we build something not just outside of traditional finance, but something that replaces it entirely.
A few years ago talking like this would be considered loony, but so was a private company sending Astronauts to space. Let’s build for the starts.
