RNP-002 and RNP-003 Community Snapshot Vote Results
The community had a busy week with two RNP proposals going through to Community Snapshot Votes. RNP-002 (Layer 1 Network Expansion) is a vote to move to Solana as the L1 and RNP-003 (Resource Acquisition and Allocation for Core Team and Grants) is a proposal for the network to get resources via emissions for a team and fund grants.
The Community Snapshot Vote for RNP-002 and RNP-003 started on Monday April 3rd and lasted until 3pm EST on April 6th. With 68% Approved that means the RNP-002 passed is now a “Live Pending RNP” up for a final vote in the coming weeks. In the second community vote the RNP-003 was Approved with 56% of the vote and also is now in “Live Pending RNP’’ status with the same voting timeframe.
Lots of great feedback here which leads to a stronger project. Many of the votes to not approve included feedback for the Foundation which we plan to build on and address. Some of the voters chose to leave a comment with their vote. Here are some of the comments, both for and against RNP-002.
A few months ago with the launch of the Render Foundation we became excited with the RNP process and the wave of transparency and engagement with the community. We are excited in how both RNP-002 and RNP-003 will aid in the future of the efforts to decentralize and grow the network.
