RNP-008: Nosana Compute Client Opens for Final Vote
Update on the Community Vote and Final Vote for RNP-008: Nosana Compute Client
After passing the Community Vote and Team Review, the Final Vote for RNP-008: Nosana Compute Client is now open. This vote will determine whether or not the Nosana Compute Client proposal will be added to the Render Network Foundation roadmap and be slated for development.
The vote opens at 5pm PT — 1/31/24. Let’s briefly review the RNP, the community vote, and what comes next:
What is Nosana and how would it use the Render Network?
Nosana is a DePIN built on Solana that helps developers and organizations build out and deploy AI inference models. Nosana specifically caters to developers of AI inference models and applications, marking its unique market compared to the other compute clients on the Render Network.
Like previous compute clients, Nosana aims to integrate with the Render Network to create a node pool of voluntary users who would like their nodes to be utilized by the Nosana client and their users. Like previous compute clients, current Render Network GPU rendering workflows are separated from the process for joining the Nosana Compute Client, which is an optional opt-in for current Render Node Operators.

Final Vote Details
With RNP-008 passing its initial community vote on both Snapshot and Nation.io, and having completed review by the Render Network and Render Network Foundation teams, it now moves onto its final vote, to determine if it is added to the Render Network development roadmap.
The vote will open on both Snapshot and Nation.io at 5pm PT, January 31st, 2024, and will remain open until Tuesday, February 6th at 5pm PT. To participate in the votes, please go to the following links to cast your vote:
