RenBridge 2 Release
A new and improved RenBridge is now live
We are excited to announce that RenBridge 2 is live!
With RenBridge 2, the DeFi ecosystem now has access to the below assets:
$renBTC | Bitcoin (BTC) on Ethereum & Binance Smart Chain
$renBCH | Bitcoin Cash (BCH) on Ethereum & Binance Smart Chain
$renZEC | Zcash (ZEC) on Ethereum & Binance Smart Chain
$renDOGE | Dogecoin (DOGE) on Ethereum & Binance Smart Chain

This marks an important milestone for the Ren Ecosystem by providing access to new assets as well as the cross-chain capabilities of RenVM on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain (BSC)!
It is the first step in broadening RenVM’s scope outside of Ethereum, thus opening up a whole new cross-chain DeFi ecosystem to the public. If you want to see Ren based assets on BSC dApps, lobbying those applications in conjunction with the Ren team is always beneficial for the ecosystem!
An Enhanced User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI)
In addition to new blockchains, one of the core improvements with RenBridge 2 is an improved user experience. As with any new technology (cross-chain interoperability), there is a learning curve, so marrying various technologies/standards and making it as intuitive as possible for the larger public is a big challenge. A few improvements added are:
- Improved transaction storage
- App-wide User Interface improvements
- Robust notification and alert system
- Added transaction history for order tracking
- Integrability into third-party applications via query string
With these improvements, UI hiccups should be cut down even further to make the cross-chain process as smooth as possible for the everyday user.

The remaining assets will be added to the RenBridge 2 UI over the coming months, so do stay tuned for these additions:
