RenVM Integrates Fantom

A direct bridge for BTC and more is live on Fantom

We are thrilled to announce Fantom, as RenVM’s second chain going live from the Blockchain Blitz! With Fantom x RenVM Bridge support, anyone can mint and burn the below assets on Fantom.

This is a direct bridge so users do not need to go through Ethereum, allowing direct deposits/withdrawals to and from Fantom with minimal gas fees.

Bridging Assets to and from Fantom | RenBridge & MetaMask Support

Now that the integration is live, users can bridge assets through RenBridge. BTC, ZEC, BCH, and DOGE are supported initially with the others going live soon after. Prior to bridging these assets, users should follow these steps:

1) Add Fantom Network to your MetaMask Wallet with these instructions.

2) Make sure you have $FTM in your MetaMask Wallet (for GAS)

3) Follow the prompts and send assets to the address shown on RenBridge UI

4) Wait the appropriate amount of time for the blockchain's confirmations (wait time depends on digital asset sent).

5) Sign FTM TX via MetaMask that pops up (pay GAS)

6) Ren-asset will be in your wallet | Optional: Add ren-asset as a custom token, so it's visible in your MetaMask.

Putting Ren-Assets to work on Fantom | Curve Finance, BadgerDAO, Varen, and more

Both teams will be pursuing the addition of Ren-based assets on various AMMs (Sushiswap, Spookyswap, etc), Curve Finance, Varen, and BadgerDAO to start.

Curve Finance | Curve Finance has proven to be a staple in the DeFi world, so as with all other chains, we’ll be pursuing a renBTC like-kind assets pool on https://ftm.curve.fi/. Once this is live we’ll have an announcement to follow.

Varen Finance | One of our long-standing bridge partners will be building UIs for bridging ALL Ren-assets to and from Fantom. Once this is live we’ll have an announcement to follow.

BadgerDAO | As we continue our long-standing partnership with BadgerDAO, we’ll help add Fantom support to Badger Bridge. Once this is live you’ll have even more opportunities to earn yield with your BTC! Be on the lookout for an announcement once this goes live.

Building Cross-Chain dApps on Fantom with RenJS

Third-party developers can now build Cross-Chain dApps on Fantom with the RenJS SDK. This will be updated over the coming weeks with tutorials to make the process as smooth as possible for developers.
