Interoperability for DeFi is here, so start building
One of the core strategies for Ren and a crucial component in bringing interoperability to DeFi is ensuring we have ample support for developers who would like to integrate RenVM. So without further ado, we are releasing the RenVM Developer Center!
The RenVM Developer Center has two parts:
- Developer Chat
This is where the Ren team will offer support for developers and DeFi projects (big or small) who would like to integrate RenVM. It is a collaborative environment in which we’ll work with developers to provide all the resources, context, and support needed. You can join here. - Developer Resources
The RenVM Developer Center web page will serve as a central hub for documentation, tutorials, third-party resources, and anything else needed for a straightforward integration. We will constantly be improving our SDKs, docs, and tutorials to ensure the integration process evolves with the needs of DeFi, so check it out here.
RenVM’s First Integration | Roundabout
We are excited to announce our very first third-party dApp that has been built using RenVM! Roundabout is a simple dApp that allows individuals to send their BTC to Ethereum and back. It turns real BTC into ZBTC (a one-for-one ERC20 representation of your BTC on Ethereum). If you’re feeling adventurous, you can use the ZBTC acquired via Roundabout in the new ZBTC pool on Uniswap. Given all this is built on RenVM Chaosnet, we do encourage caution but both products (RenVM & Uniswap) are decentralized, trustless, and permissionless so anyone can provide ZBTC liquidity and trade ZBTC against any asset on Uniswap right now if you'd like.
Roundabout has been built by our very own Andrew Cassetti, who will be heading the new Developer Relations role at Ren. He will be a great resource when looking to build with RenVM, so come say hey in our Developer Chat.
