Gianni and Federico are two frontend developers working for Triplesense Reply Italia, one of Reply’s digital creative agencies. Part of company offer is focused on finding innovative solution from UX/UI to frontend development. Hi guys, thank you for joining us today! 😃 What was your Labcamp about?
Our Labcamp, Building simple websites without backend, is mainly focused on how to develop a modern web application using frontend technologies only. Today there are a lot of useful tools that can help you filling the gaps.
How did you hear about this topic first?
We wanted to build a web application to handle a game between colleagues for the Russia Soccer World Cup. ⚽ So, we decided to merge three technologies we knew from different projects (React, Firebase Realtime Database and Netlify) and use them to reach our goal in a couple of days.
How did you feel while preparing and delivering your Labcamp?
It was very challenging because we wanted to explain the main concepts of those three technologies within a 45 min presentation. Then, we had to prepare a hands on ✍️ exercise easy enough for those who have never heard about the topics and at the same time interesting for the most expert audience.
How does Reply supports your research?
As said before, we learned those technologies in our working life.

5️⃣ We probably have to thank Italy National Soccer Team for not qualifying to the Russia World Cup: if that wasn’t the case, we’d never bothered to fill our days building this app 😋
What comes next?
This is just an example of how to successfully merge three technologies. This is not the perfect recipe for every project you may think of, but we strongly recommended to give it a try and experiment as much as you can. Surely in the future new tools 🔧 will be available for this purpose and we will be ready to discover them.
