Digging the Genk
Hello, today we’re in Genk. The small, multicultural, has good architecture & designs, quietly beatiful one of the belgian mining city is Genk. This city province is Limburg. This city has a three mining camps in the past but for now, they are closed. Today we visit city center, two mining camps (c-mine, waterschei) and so beatiful historical small village Bokrijk.
C-Mine: The old mining camp in Genk. But this area is renovated. The other name for this place is Winterslag. You can do a trip for this mining camp. It is inculudes a lot of things. The most famous school in Belgium, LUCA School Of Arts is inside this area and next to the mining tower. This tower looks a historical and you can see the labors of the old miners traces.
C-Mine, looks abandoned but because of renovated, many people comes here to visit this area. You can find a trip guide inside the C-Mine. This camp has closed in the past and changed to museum.
The second place to visited, Waterschei. This place is similiar to C-Mine. This mine is closed too in the past and abandoned. But this place is not renovated and still keeping. Maybe it comes a little scare but if you want to trip in Belgium, you should see this place.
The third place to visited today, Bokrijk. It is small like a village but protected and restored carefully. This is amazing place in the Genk. I am really advice to visit this place. Bokrijk covers an area of 550 hectares. Bokrijk inculudes playgrounds, castle, museum, arboteum and recreation area. From europe and around the world tourists wants to see this place and comes.
Peoples comes here for residing, working, living, caring, handling, relaxing, telling stories, celebrating and sharing.Bokrijk gives visitors a contemporary look at the history of everyday life.
The last stop is city center in Genk. There is no traffic lamp in this city. Because of this, Genk is come into prominence for other Belgium cities. City is very quietly and you can relax while you are walking in the streets. You can find a lot of shopping places in Genk. Sometimes this city colder than other cities. This city have a football team. Team name is KRC Genk and this club is playing in the Belgium Pro League.
