Why We Built Reposite

If we can remember back before COVID-19 hit (which feels harder to do every day), our team at Reposite was running an experience company in New York called Nowaday. Nowaday offers a variety of experiences including private tours in perfectly restored cars from the 1920s to craft cocktail making classes at speakeasies downtown.

Through Nowaday, we came to know the travel trade as a major distribution channel and engine of new business. We worked firsthand with travel trade professionals who in turn, have many clients across the globe — they manage several trips at a time, and for each one, there could be dozens of different suppliers to schedule times with, coordinate details, and facilitate payments. They’re also tasked with building new proposals for clients to try to keep their sales pipeline strong, while also hunting for and negotiating with new suppliers to keep proposals fresh.

We were absolutely blown away by the lack of tools or platforms that are available for the travel trade.

When COVID-19 struck, we decided that the best way to invest our time would be to invest in the travel trade, to work to create a tool that could support their businesses. A tool that could help our colleagues rebound stronger when the pandemic starts to wane.

That tool is Reposite.

The tool was created for the travel trade, but just as importantly, it was created with the travel trade. We held countless calls with members across the industry to hear about their needs, and are working with a beta group of testers who would use the workspace every day, perhaps just like you.
