Weekly Wrap-Up

I’ve spent the past two weeks digging deeper into the issues that are on the minds of Central Virginians and listening to how my office can best support the people we serve. Please keep scrolling for a brief update and thank you, as always, for sharing in the work I’m doing for the people of Virginia’s Seventh District.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON

I promised to hold ten town halls in each of the counties of our district during my first year in office. We are now officially halfway through that goal!

Here are some of the things I did during this district work period:

  • Spoke with business & community leaders at the Goochland Rotary meeting
  • Held two open, community town halls in Henrico County and Louisa County
  • Met with law enforcement officers at the Chesterfield Fusion Center
  • Toured the Virginia Holocaust Museum with students from Matoaca
  • Coffee with your Congressperson listening session in Orange
  • Met with Chesterfield County business and government leaders
  • Convened an Earth Day roundtable with local conservationists
  • Toured the Disability Resource Center of the Rappahannock
  • Spent time with J.R. Tucker High School’s JROTC students
  • Celebrated the naturalization of new American citizens
  • Led an agriculture roundtable at Battlefield Farms
  • Visited Fort Pickett in Nottoway County
