Mike Todd-Miller joins Resident.ly
Since we announced that we were building our product team in Manchester a few weeks ago, my expectations have more than been met — we’ve spoken to a bunch of fantastic people and it’s clear the North West has lots to offer a startup like us.
Our first new starter is Mike Todd-Miller, who joins us as a Designer. For the last 10 years Mike has straddled the creative field — from art, music and small business services, to agency work for big clients. Recent projects range from a “massive” game design for BBC Children’s, simplifying labour market data for Monster to tiny tools for a handful of experts at the Open University. He tells us he’s been looking to join an early-startup for “just a minute”, which he assures us means “for ages”!
At Resident.ly he’ll be championing the product. He’ll be trying out new ideas, getting up close and personal with our user base and helping steer the product and brand strategy. In our team our designers are coders too, so Mike will be collaborating with engineers to build products and help us iterate quickly.
