A Justice Has Died

As if another woman would soften the blow
and make the act seem less callous.
Justice Ginsburg lies in state
while the Senate moves at a break-neck pace to approve her successor
by election day.
Where is the respect for her dying wish?
Where is the generosity of spirit?
Where is the sense of what is right?
Where?

Resistance Poetry

I studied religion at the UC-Berkeley and have been interested in the spirit ever since. I try to give my poems a spiritual aspect whenever possible.
