And we cried in our tissues,
before we sneezed

A simple cough,
bodies on fire.

An assassin in our midst,
oh whoa is us.

Afraid to go outside,
hurts to be inside

Affliction of a human kind,
but who will protect us

Absolve us from weakness,
we are human.

All susceptible hosts,
victims unaware.

Armies in white suits,
guardian angels arriving en masse.

Are these the end of days,
or the worst of times?

Not so!

Defenses built up,
our bodies will win.
