Are You Really Alone?

Life can be isolating.
Social media can be isolating.
We’re all seeking validation
for our lives
online
subjected to whims
a random algorithm.

Loss of control
loss of self
causing isolation.

The great lie sweeping through western civilization,
the more we’re connected,
the more isolated we become.
And people believe.
Believe this as a truism.
Look at my device
in hand,
no looking up,
I’m so lonely connected to thousands.

Kardashian’s manipulation.
Social media team
speak her truth.
They know you.
They believe in you.
They can see a better life
just for you.

You can be better
You aren’t the best you can be.
You’re isolated.
You’re depressed.
The problem is you
because…
look how fucking great we you are on social.

People are struggling.
Isolation is but one symptom.
Truth is setting no one free.

Salsa is a fever dream. A whisper carried over the mountains. He’s an illusion. An idea that sways the masses. He’s spoiling for a fight. Don’t look too close.
