Awareness led government clampdown / Individual rights gets a smackdown / Name of terror / the usual profiled suspect nominee /Awareness closed more borders / Awareness closed more minds / Awareness is failing / failure to open / the world lacks / smacks / hacks your sense / the sense of misery / Awareness leading us further / Deep down / the depression lurker / Global obesity / Cancerous infamy / the planet warming / theory and practice / the bitter dichotomy / Awareness led people to lock doors / For communities to break down / For people to become glued / stuck / thumb-tacked to their phones / Awareness now leading / to an automated future / where we become dumber / and hide deeper / into the virtual world / the virtual fog / the sunken miasma of our rotting mind.

Is this where the Awareness leads? / To where we can no longer tell / or IDENT-TI-FY / the good guy / from the bad bad baddie? / Back then terrorists only hijacked planes / instead of blowing them apart / Back then men got away with sexual harassment / instead of a class suit action / Back then the bad guys had dodgy accents / instead of educated intention / Back then hacking was for nerds / kids roam the streets / children played in mud / and the world was a wonder to be explored.

Is it too much information? / Are we more aware? / Or is it selective memory?

Salsa is a fever dream. A whisper carried over the mountains. He’s an illusion. An idea that sways the masses. He’s spoiling for a fight. Don’t look too close.
