Brave Soldiers Die, Families Mourn

You say, “they have fallen.”
Brave soldiers they were,
a calling, they did not defer.

You claim their sacrifice,
when they died from your device.
Oh, how their Families mourn!

Was it your blood on the field?
Were they your tears of grief?
Their loved ones in disbelief.

Can you raise them from the dead,
with a call that families dread?
Their children want them home.

Ghosts in Arlington march on,
on the battlefield of tears.
Granite stones in formation,
where families mark the years…
