A Shade Throwing Prose Poem That Ends With Redemption
Small minds using big labels aren’t impressing anyone. (socialism, capitalism, liberal, conservative, left, right) How many “tags” will you use before telling us what you mean? Do you know? Or are you just repeating mindless things you’ve heard? Like those who throw around terms like “market forces” instead of “market choices,” denying responsibility for what they do and don’t do. The sheer weight of those unexplained markers is dragging your point into the mud. It’s draining all the power and oomph from your statement. And rest assured, the use of blame does not an intelligent person make. How about telling us precisely what we ought to do with the money, the power, the people, their lives, their humanity, and their dignity? Who gets what, when, where, and how? Until you answer those questions, I’m not interested in any label spewing from your tiny, little micro-mind. Redeem yourself! Tell us exactly what your mind means. Then rest assured, we’ll make up our own.
