No more can you endure — nor tolerate
You’ve given your all — you’ve made your score
You hear the chants of abuse and hate
Again and again — Sounds you cannot ignore
Meant for your ears and not your mates
Will it never end? — A racist roar which resonates

You well up feelings of anger and pain
Is it worth all this? — You pause and think
They’re idiots — you know — this said in vain
Aware your team depends on you — your head sinks
Your fans don’t rise to silence your abusers
So, you’ve had enough — You’re not a loser

And though you’re a professional player
The monkey chants of a few
Rattle your whole being — your demeanour
Soul-destroyed, self-destructing this history
Of hurt is a lifetime story, based on the colour
Of your skin — and nothing new
