Fixing the Imbalance

Yang’s so fat you can’t see Yin anymore
and the seesaw companies
have gone out of business.
There’s a golden elephant
in every courtroom
shoving its trunk in the judge’s face
and corrupting every witness.
Morality misplaced its gag reflex
and now it can swallow
repulsively self-serving ‘world leaders’
times its weight in
starving Yemeni children
without so much as
an itch in the throat.
There’s a kink in the rope
and 99% of it is unraveling.
Projected growth is through the roof
but soon the air will need rationing.

How
do you flip a coin that only has one side?
You alter the currency
until the meaning of the coin

no longer applies.

We hoard, we steal,
we share, we give.
It’s not about money,
It’s about how we live.
