Grant Me Free

Free me from
the frisson of nothingness,
That feeling of
sitting on the couch,
Where my pneumatic heart
resides in between pillows.

Free me from
the moments I’m stultified,
Stop with permanence,
I would adore being free,
From the mise-enscène
of an old television set.

Free me from
this enclave of ignorance,
And move me toward
that place of philandering romance,
Move me to the world,
that place where Life reigns dear…

That lovely simplicity,
That sunrisen morning.
