Instead of the real World

There are shards of wall
That tore the world
Launched cold war contracts
Blew apart the impoverished
Just by borrowing brilliance
And giving it to the privileged

Instead of for the real world

Worse, we let them create
A new wall, steely and hostile
Erected in the closed off mind
Elected in the Capital
Infected in banging human chests

Putin is after the arctic oil
He wants all the power it brings
The panic it pushes
The failing polar bears become carcass
Put all the brilliance of divide and conquer
On ice

Instead of in the real world
