“If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” — Malcolm X.

Imprisoned for telling the truth.
Not really a shocker there now,
Not in this day and age with government’s
Lying their way through every step they take.

I wish they would just stay still and shut their
Rancid salivating money spewing mouths.

Fitted up on false allegations, thrown to the
British bulldogs to do their worst, ordered by their
Handlers to rip apart Julian Assange limb by limb.
By Jove they played the long game, waiting
For the new gatekeeper to give access to these rabid dogs.

Eager to please their new friends, seeing to it backs are turned
Allowing frenzied access to tear off democracy’s already tattered clothes.

A political trial by media not by justice has begun, seeing to it
The fate of Julian Assange has a signed, sealed and delivered
Verdict, surrendered to a military state of neoliberal oppression.

“The bullies on the block*,” frustrated by this damned pandemic,
Or will this pandemic do their dirty work for them?
To see the COVID end to an already sickened Julian Assange.

This case will close with a volley of nails delivered by a pneumatic gun
Into the coffins of journalistic freedom, delivered with
Fervour by pissed off governments tired of having their
Lies exposed. The wheels set in motion as 1984 now becomes our reality.

Colin Powell Quote “I want to be the bully on the block.” Source, John Pilger
