Leaf Blower Man

Leaf blower man, please stop.
What are you doing?
Leave the leaves alone.
They’re not hurting anyone.
You’re hurting my ears
and burning carbon
for no good reason.
Go plant a tree instead
or at least feel the peace.
Hear the distant waves,
smell the summer air
and watch the fluttering green
of the occasional leaf
dance down to the ground
and let it be.
