Nonprofiteering Hospitals
Free verse
Never enough for the unsatisfied,
Nonprofit hospitals paying no tax
with more than enough in reserve
now tapping into disaster relief funds
provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency,
(FEMA) support smaller hospitals so desperately need;
obviously, the more wealthy, the greater the need.
The biggest three managing to retain their
Nonprofit wealth through taxpayers,
they’re always a good source for their billions of dishonest income.
“Greatly impacted by Covid 19.”
Stop the press! Do other hospitals not figure
in this wealthy Nonprofit brain of yours?
Oh yes, now I understand, Trump’s law forbids
profitmaking hospitals struggling through covid 19
to apply for FEMA uncapped help.
Good call Nonprofiteers! Controlling 60% of American hospitals???
Creating powerful health giants with vast resources
giving as little help possible to the community,
why would you? when lavish buildings cost so much,
The smaller the hospital, the less they try for aid,
no point in swimming against such an immense tide of cash.
Investigations saw a shameful return of Nonprofit money
earlier this year, whoops, they did not need it??
Manipulating public goodwill as smaller hospitals
are being absorbed into no choice mergers of
Nonprofiteering pockets growing ever more deeply.
At least some are making the most out of this pandemic.
