On Leman’s shore (Rise Up!)

On Leman’s shore to dwell,
A life so sweet we knew, soft ripples in the swell,
Of morning breeze that blew, from mountain sunrise gold,
Our hearts’ glow to enfold.

Or Jura mountain peak,
Her forests’ dappled leaves with silent sunrays speak.
And Nature’s secret weaves, to hide in singing stream,
What moss and fern may dream.

And I, as one so small,
In Byron’s footsteps trail, inspired by Earth’s brave call,
I know which course to sail. Life’s beauty is the wind,
That with my soul is twinned.

But oh! to feel Her pain!
And discord, loss untold! We wound Her yet again,
From Neptune’s deepest hold, to Terra’s icy spire.
Deaf to our heart’s desire.

The guiding light of Love:
Soft moonbeams dance and play, with silver orb above,
And ne’er by light of day, could celestial heights inspire
Such grit, and will, and fire!

NOW is the time to rise!
Let blood run thick with strength, clear purpose in our eyes!
Draw up to our full…
