Hey you, rooted in the ground,
Hey you, swaying with your heads,
Are you dancing to the rains?
Are you whispering to the birds?
Are you welcoming the dawn?
Are you talking to me in signs?
Are you shivering with the chills?
Are you playing with your peers?
Are you shedding down your tears?
Are you laughing at our fears?
or just swinging in the winds?
