Chaos
Devastation
Desecration
A tale of appropriation

Through Lilinoe’s howling mists
Rose a Ship of Death
Black sails
Thick nails
In the guise of friends
Explorers
They said
Conquerers
They meant
They Cooked up poison
On their blades, Hawaii fell

Terror abounds
Death
Without a sound
Blood leaks
Breaths heave
There’s red on the ground

Stars hide
Behind
Pele, the fire-breather
Poli’ahu of Ice
They fight
They’re defeated

Pele is rained on
Strung on a Cross
Poli’ahu is blasted
Waiau saved for last
Hawaii falls
Her people fall

Kalauakolea screams

Poli’ahu screams

Waiau screams

Kahoupokane screams

The Queen is in chains
Conspirers reign now
The land is sweetened
Dole seizes the reins now

Cannonballs
Bullet rounds
Thunder falls
And with it
There’s the Firestorm Harrison
Cleveland can’t defeat it
Forty-Nine is now Fifty
Colonized by Imperials
Her people are dead
Her gods fade in a serial

Mauna a Wakea
Is run over
Sucked dry
He’s stabbed twenty times
In those wounds
Stand Towers of Heaven
First Amendment hangs her head
She’s failed

Crosses flood the land
Call the Natives
Savages
Uncivilized
Godless
Convert them
The skins off their back
Mean more for us they said
The red from their veins
We’ll cause the Great Flood

The White Cloak
Is frayed
Sold
Stolen
By the Horde
Wakea is naked
Waiau
Pleads
Weak
So weak
Can’t speak
Silent with
Screams of Poli’ahu

Mauna Kea is a sacred land. As such, the Constitution is supposed to protect it from desecration. The Constitution and it’s elected officials have failed multiple times to carry out their oath-bound duties where it is concerned, however. The Officials have let multiple burial sites, shrines and other places of spiritual and religious significance to the Native Hawaiians be desecrated in spite of protests.

Enough is enough.

TMT can be built on another one of the six possible alternative sites. The Mauna can’t be relocated.
