Shake This Nation to its Core

I have no love of confrontation
but there are times when our great nation
subjects us to despotic whims
and constitutional emasculation.

The president screams for law and order,
overwhelming force and give no quarter.
Dominate the battle space
and make resolution so much harder.

It’s not even about George Floyd anymore,
murdered outside a convenience store.
But from his death a movement grows
that will shake this nation to its core.
