The Senate is the problem. Press corps aimed at Manchin and Sinema, but Manchinema serves merely as the frontmen. The whole of the Senate is the problem; the entire suited cabal has framed corporate interests as the counterbalance for human interests. I see it now, the continuance of the human race has little value to our Senators when corporate profitability holds their field of vision.
True Story. Momentum was behind Build Back Better. Originally, THRIVE Act encompassed BBB. The Senate countered. It was something like this, “[You give us the infrastructure bill, where nuclear gets millions and fossil fuel companies gets billions, and green renewables get nothing…and we will do this reconciliation thing.]” And so the House did, The Senate, on the other hand, refused to honor their part. Then the congressional session ended.
Our Congressional Representatives from my corner of the United States hosted forums during the summer session break of 2021. They warned Build Back Better was at risk of being turned into a porkbarrel for corporate interests. They pleaded, “Tell them this matters to you!” I thought, “Who is ‘them’? I thought You were my ‘them’.”
