Seems like
My brain worked better
When it moved slower
Seems like
The constant flood of stimulation
Keeps me on the back foot
Struggling to piece it all together
Seems like
We should be able to slow down
If we want to
Why does it frighten us so
Why does it set off alarms
This return to slowness
And does it
After all
Mean anything bad
Or does it simply mean
It’s time
To be man
And not machine
