The Wall is White …

Cutting to the chase

the wall has only

one function

does it not,

just as from the

first glide

down that

gilded escalator

by the Golden Savior

& his throwing of the

raw meat of racism

to his chosen marks,

for the wall was always

an appeal to fear,

to racial enclosure

to racial identity

to whiteness …

a supreme & purifying whiteness …

a great underbelly

of fear

& dark & dull simplicity.

for the wall is dear

so very dear to his base

as his troubles begin to

unfold & lord knows

he’ll need them

for the days

ahead,

and the fact that its utterly,

utterly redundant

matters not one

single jot

to him,

& the facts of the matter

mean not one jot

to them either,

& the talk is out there

of a noble white supremacy,

of ‘someone else babies’

of both sides,

of our side,

of purity

& strength.

The wall is white.

It has no other meaning than that.
