To the Men

you know who you are

All you who think to write
Of women’s bodies
Of their internal magic
Of life and bloody mysteries,
Know this:

You see it from a far yonder.
It does not belong to you
Who hear it from around a corner,
Who never lay down and screamed,
Who call us all wounded.
