shallow breath betraying,
yet heroic in his sacrifice,
as he has worked so hard for us,
done all he could …

in tweet & earnest
declaration …
saluting for 2 long minutes,
the fading distant horizon,
chiseled, fervent, reassuring,

certainly not perhaps,
the losers and suckers,
