Do I care about conflicts and war
the rights and wrongs
the struggle for resources
man power and ego
- no - no - no, I whisper
as my heart aches for the innocent who die,
are wounded and traumatized —
the children, our next generation
the ones who survive
abused, misused or vanish
into the darkness of human cruelty

What, I ask is the value of the life of a child
who be their role models? Those who struggle
to protect them with their love
or those who struggle for — see the above?
I will but keep the peace
man may strive to win the war
a word like hell I abhor
but peace we must never fail to win and hold
