RESONATES Editorial Update: Common Rejection Reasons

Every day, I am blessed with the warmth of our community here at RESONATES. Writing is a craft that uniquely offers us a voice, and, by extension, a means of comfort as we lighten our souls. It is with this in mind that I envision RESONATES as a safe place for your thoughts, struggles, confessions, and more.

We have been blessed to be listed on Medium’s big list of publications, and we welcome many more into our community. While I have made every effort to ensure the clarity of RESONATES’ submission guidelines, there is a common theme observed in recent rejections. I would like to address these so that we can focus on getting our voice out instead of waiting in queue due to the editorial process.

RESONATES is a publication focused on emotions.
Your thoughts, feelings, confessions, and real-life stories are most welcome. In fact, reading them comforts me, knowing that we are not alone in the challenges we face. Do not submit “How to” guides, updates about a service you offer, or basically anything that is not from the heart.

English is the common language for the publication.
While I understand that we all have various levels of proficiency, I would appreciate it if submissions met a basic acceptable standard. I have spent much time…
