By painting the porch grey, I am dressing up the house. You can dress up a house, a child, a wife, a husband, friend or life. I am dressing up the house.

I wonder if God has a front porch and if He does, does He paint it? Does He hire Heavenly Contractors LLC to do it? If He does, I’ll bet it’s majestic.

So, does God do His own maintenance? I would think yes and no. Yes He does all the maintenance on everything He ever made because He made everything. No, I don’t think He does it all hands on. Why? Because I see the systems He has built in place that puts many things on autopilot, including us and the little birds. None of us have to worry much about anything, as it’s almost all been done for us. There is very little we need to do to survive. Trusting in God is a good place to come from. He really does supply everything. We certainly didn’t do it ourselves. Man has made many accomplishments in his history, also, many mistakes and bad choices. We are so stubborn to forgive. We don’t mind forgiveness , ourselves. I think God is a loving, forgiving, protecting and providing God. He loves us unconditionally, without reservation and without us asking or even believing in God. He is unconditional love. He gives everything freely. All we need is Love and God is Love. All we need is enough and He is enough.

The paint that goes down on the porch, the “Tornado Watch” Grey interior/exterior acrylic paint plus primer and a satin finish, is the perfect paint to cover up all the imperfections. I have many of those in my life. Maybe with God’s help, I can cover those imperfections up.

I wonder if God covers up imperfections in His universe. I mean, what if… What if, for instance, He made a planet that went spinning lopsided? Would He hide it under a cloud, just so no one discovers the blunder? Or… Would God rather not have it happen in the first place? Maybe we would have created the universe differently than He, but the truth of the matter is, we didn’t and can’t make anything, only He can do that. Some say God is a woman, a she, as in female. If so true indeed, I must inquire, where is the Father? I can understand Mother Earth and Father God, but I lose connection when it becomes just Mother God and all her children. Who built the house? Who made the rules? Doesn’t it take two to have children? Surely, He or She who runs the show, knows.

Who painted the porch? I think I know.
I think it must have been Him… and Her.
He and she working together,
Covering up blemishes forever.

The porch is smooth and grey,
Blemish free in every way.
The steps are pretty and clean,
Best looking paint job you’ve ever seen!
