After Nearly 100 Incidents, Company Recalls Infant Bath Tubs
Multiple news reports have indicated that certain infant bath tubs are being recalled over a possible injury and drowning risk.
According to the official US Consumer Product Safety Commission report Lil’ Luxuries infant bath tubs fitted with fabric slings are being recalled because the slings may become detached from the tubs, increasing the risk of an impact injury and even drowning.
Since this issue may lead to serious injuries, the company has launched a recall to prevent further incidents.
The company issued the recall after learning that 86,000 units of Lil’ Luxuries infant bath tubs fitted with fabric slings could expose infants to injury. The discovery followed 91 reports of incidents involving slings being detached. At least 11 of these incidents resulted in injuries to the infants’ heads.
Impacted units include h infant bath tubs with the date codes starting with 1210, 1211, 1212, 1301, 1302, 1303, 1304, 1305, 1306, 1307, and 1308.
