Why do you care about local democracy?

Decentralisation ● Democracy is freedom, freedom is participation ● For opportunities ● Democracy = respect for everyone’s opinions. ● Democracy is when YOUR voice can make a difference ● Local democracy affects the neighbourhood my child grows up in ● Democracy is not winning, it is participating ● It is so satisfying to enjoy the benefits of collaborative work. It is work that so often boosts the quality of local life! ● Local democracy = citizens in direct and immediate contact with political decisions. Without barriers. Without borders. Without obstacles ● Local democracy only wears out if you don’t use it! Participate in local democracy!!! ● Because everyone deserves to have a voice. ● Democracy is about giving your opinion and accepting that if you are not followed ● Because your community is counting on you! ● To have the most concrete impact where I live ● Local Democracy. It means being an actor in our daily lives and reinventing the way we live together ● Democracy is about choice ● The heart of democracy is to listen. It is to value the voices of every class, race, religion, gender, creed and culture. It is to strive for the betterment of all people ● Democracy hears my voice while respecting my privacy ● Democracy is a treasure to have. Democracy is not a luxury to have. Democracy is enabling people to achieve where they are in life. Democracy is threatened by dictators and misogynistic characters in the world ● Because everyone’s voice matters! ● Because I think it’s where it all starts ●
