Preparing for #ResponsiveCoffee
The #wolweek is going on and it encouraged me to write a short story about one of the things I’ve been tossing around with the last few weeks.
A few weeks ago I met with Martin Risgaard, to discuss how the #ResponsiveOrg movement could lift of in Denmark, Copenhagen — it wasn’t that hard to agree we needed to see it happen, but I was a bit uncertain about the concept and what to expect, asking Martin who to learn from the answer was prompt.
A connected world
Soon I was connected with Simon Terry and Luke Grange in a online meeting to learn about their work and experiences in Australia, they have been doing the #Responsive events in a while, and were happy to share their experiences. After discussing #Responsive- Coffee, -beer, -breakfast… Martin and I decided to go with a #ResponsiveCoffee as the first event.
After the meeting Simon posted a tweet about it
and the very same day I was connected to Kenneth Mikkelsen, thought leader on Leadership in Denmark who wanted to join right away. Linked with Kenneth on Linkedin showed we already had close connections… a truly connected world from Denmark to Australia and back again.
Planing the event
Ready to take the next step I met Martin at the Microsoft Next conference in Copenhagen and settled for a date for the first #ResponsiveCoffee in Copenhagen, and a decent centrally coffee place was chosen
As proposed by Ashley Adams in her guide How to run a ResponsiveCoffee meetup . Meetup.com surves the purpose as administrative tool for the meetup — So now it is published and you can find the event on Meetup.com
Step 2 in Ashleys guide says “Don’t over think it” — but trying hard to keep it simple I still do not know what to expect….
What to expect from a #ResponsiveCoffee
I am delighted and humble that someone shows interest, but also curious about what exactly to expect, and what the Change Agents expectations are…
As a personal preperation I’ve looked at the #ResponsiveOrg slidedeck
And Luke Grange’s hack — which is faboulus #RODS hack of slide 12
And Simon Terry giving the elevator pitch with the #RODS for Responsive Management
More activites for Copenhagen
I wrote a short something about #ResponsiveOrg Copenhagen in Danish
And just had to start #hackingslide12
