Design the Welcome Screen Contest
Calling creative artists to help design a unique and engaging Discord Welcome Screen—and win prizes!
Restream’s official Discord server was recently verified by the Wumpus himself. But we haven’t used the best feature of our verified server — our Welcome Screen. We’re looking for creative artists to help us design a unique and engaging screen to feature on the official Restream Discord welcome. Here’s how you can get involved and win some great prizes!
Contest details
From December 5th, 2018 to December 26th, 2018, contest participants can submit original Restream Welcome Screen designs to the Design the Welcome Screen Contest form. All designs must be submitted by December 26th, 2018 for consideration. Multiple entries are encouraged.
Design guidelines
All eligible designs must meet the following criteria, or they will not be considered:
- Must be created or composed of all original, uncopyrighted components
- Must be strictly safe for work
- Must include the Restream Mascot (Squid) — hand-drawn interpretations of the squid are fine
- Must be 1920x1080p and in PNG, JPG, or JPEG file formats
- Must not include personal promotion (other than an artist signature)
Selection process
All entries should be submitted to the Design the Welcome Screen Contest form. Entry eligibility will be reviewed and confirmed. The top five submissions will be selected by the Restream Staff. After the final submission deadline, December 26th, 2018, the Restream Discord community will review the top five winners and vote for first and second place. All prizes are awarded after we pick and announce the first place winner.

For this design contest, we have loads of rewards for winners and active participants. Here’s what we have lined up:
- Top five finalists: Restream Standard for 90 days
- Second place: Restream Standard for 1 year + 90-day Standard Scheduler (finalist prize)
- First place: Restream Professional for 1 year, 90-day Standard Scheduler (finalist prize), + Restream swag
Bonus prizes
Throughout the duration of the contest, we will also be rewarding our active, power-participants. For example, anyone who submits a speed drawing video of their design creation automatically receives a 90-day Restream Standard plan! Plus, by joining the Restream community on Discord, sharing in your design progress, and commenting on others’ submissions, contest participants will be rewarded with Restream service packages and branded swag.
How to earn bonus prizes
First, join the Restream Discord server. Then earn extra prizes by:
- sharing your content via speed drawing videos or samples of your design
- updating on your progress regularly
- talking with our community about submitted designs
- reviewing other designs for inspiration
- following us on Twitter to share and comment on contest designs
