Parliament approves identity and border commission

After weeks of tension, Ethiopia’s House of Federation finally approved the establishment of a Identity and Border Affairs Commission. The final vote was 350 for, 33 against and 4 abstentions.
The commission will be tasked with assessing existing border and identity disagreements and producing reports for the House of Federation to consider when making the final decision.
