Lokko Yohannes and Engida Qisu were arrested on the night of December 18th, 2018, and taken to Asko Area Police Station where they are still detained.

The reasons behind the arrests are so far undisclosed. Eyewitnesses state that Lokko was recently seen promoting the upcoming opening ceremony of the Oromo Liberation Front office in the town of Burayu.

Engida Qisu was previously arrested in 2014 under the controversial Anti-Terrorism Proclamation and spent four years in Qilinto Prison before being released earlier this year.
