Faith not belief
Hold on to Jesus tightly, and beliefs very lightly.
Faith is focused on trust and trust lies in a relationship.
Belief is based on certainty — that you know all there is to know, and in essence all you need to do is to listen to your own knowledge. But faith is based on a relationship — one that teaches and molds and leads.
I have a relationship with God through Jesus, and in every situation, through life’s journeys, that relationship stands as a beacon, guiding and leading me into places of beauty and joy, growth and transformation, wisdom and understanding.
It’s not what I believe that makes me a Christian. It’s whom I believe in.
“I am the way and the truth and the life,” Jesus answered and said to them in John 4:16. “No one comes to the Father except through me.”
