#BigParentingIdea — Expecting Obedience From Adult Children (And The Meaning Of “Help”)

Demanding that someone will let you take control of his life in return for your help/ contribution means you are not doing it unconditionally.

It immediately devalues your help and contribution.

It means it wasn’t an honest help.

It means you cheated on that person.

It’s the fastest and surest way to ruin your relationship with this person.

It’s also plain stupid.
