Ooh! What an attention seeker, what a rebel,

She has donned that modish black dress again!

Uh-ho! that body-hugging jeans and that off shoulder top

No wonder she’s interacting with people, non-stop

My my! she has draped a Georgette saree with a voguish blouse

Didn’t she look at herself in the mirror while stepping out of the house

Oh ho! That bold red lips shade, those dramatic eyes

Look at her splurging on all these gaudy merchandise

We are tired of these insensitive and crude remarks

Feels like being surrounded by large predatory sharks

Women are so much more than what they wear

That constant judgement, that incessant sneer, do you think this is what we want to hear?

Stop the prejudice. Get rid of that misogynistic attitude

This is not how we want to be conjectured and viewed

Judge us by our talent and not by our looks

We are not dumb when it comes to knowledge or books

Women are as meticulous and productive as you

But we still have to prove it’s our hard-earned success & that’s the whole issue.

Time has gone by, but the perception is still there

We are still asked to choose between personal life & professional success, is that fair?
