Political Spectrum Pendulum

I think we all agree; right-wing on the rise recently in the world. This situation is seen by many as very dangerous. In fact, many people believe that a large-scale war will follow if this continues. They may not be unfair. But if we just look at the moment we are in and fail to think wider, we may miss some important things.

First, let me consider what I call the Political Spectrum Pendulum, which sheds light on the history of democracy. Throughout our history of democracy, political competition runned by two main groups, regardless of the exceptions, in any country. These are Right and Left wings in their most general definition.

In many countries, there are large parties representing these two views, and although the boxers change, these two men collide in the ring. Sometimes one side wins, sometimes the other.

Sometimes a party holds power for a long time and wins one after another. But ultimately, it is defeated and power passes to the other side. Of course, although there are basically two sides, they develop and adopt different currents within themselves in different periods.

That is the Political Spectrum Pendulum. On the move, it swings from left to right. It doesn’t, and never been stoped on one side.

If we understand what a pendulum is, let’s look at the principle of it’s movement…
