Returnly feature alert: Shopper Comments — would you like them to be Optional or Required? It is now possible to make comments mandatory in your shoppers’ Returns Center returns flow.

What happened with this order?

Your product is great. People are telling their friends. Sales are up. People are returning more items?? Sometimes people are in a hurry and ordered the wrong thing. Maybe Uncle Joe loves the new t-shirt! but he’s taken up running marathons and is a lot slimmer these days… There is often a story to tell with product returns. Returnly merchants asked for a space in the shopper flow that requires shoppers to leave comments about their RMAs. We heard about your needs. We answered.

This is what the shopper see right before they get their shipping label. We call it the “Estimated Refund Card” snappy title right?

Returnly merchants now have the option of requiring that their shoppers leave a comment about an online product return. If you decide to require this of your shoppers, then they will not be able to proceed with their online product return (no shipping label will be generated) until they have entered a comment in the box.

Currently your default Returns Center setting is to have this shopper comment field be optional. Eventually, you will be able to change this setting yourself from your Returnly dashboard. In the meantime, contact team@returnly.com to make this comment field mandatory for your shoppers.

To view customer comments, go to the Manage Returns tab in your Returnly dashboard, click on a single RMA, and the “Customer Message” will appear in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It will look a little something like this:

Reducing that back-and-forth with customers saves time

No more going to ask your co-worker what was up with that order, or if anyone got back to that super nice grandma from Delaware… Not only does your Returnly dashboard answer most of those questions at first glance, but now special notes can be easily required of your shoppers. Once again, Returnly has saved you time. We just keep making your product returns flow better. It’s what we do.
