General Peter Pace joins Reveal Technology, Inc’s Board of Directors
Reveal Technology, Inc., a software and artificial intelligence firm that provides intuitive, rapid intelligence in austere environments, is honored to announce that retired Marine General Peter Pace has joined its Board of Directors.
General Pace’s service in the United State Marine Corps culminated with his tenure as the 16th Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff, where he served as the nation’s senior military officer and as the principal military advisor to the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council.
During four decades of service, General Pace developed a unique perspective on the evolving technologies used in modern conflict. Following his retirement from active duty, he has continued to lead in the private sector, through strategic application of his hard-won experience.
Reveal Technology, Inc. builds artificial intelligence tools to enhance situational awareness in high-risk environments, leveraging the power of mobile and edge processing, machine learning, autonomy, and robotics. By using only a smartphone and a small drone, squad-sized military units can now generate their own actionable intelligence, maps, and mission planning products without reliance on external agencies or on high-bandwidth communications networks.
General Pace thoroughly understands Reveal’s value proposition to the modern warfighter:
“I wish I had Reveal’s technology when I was a platoon leader in Vietnam,” he said. “I wish I could have provided Reveal’s technology to the combat leaders who went in harm’s way when I was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and I am delighted to be able to help provide it now to today’s incredible service members.”
General Pace’s acceptance of this position is a marker of his continued commitment to serve, and signifies increasing urgency in the collective mission to reimagine how our nation defends its citizens and protects its interests.
“Reveal is fortunate to have a leader of General Pace’s caliber join our team and support the rise of a new generation of technologies to protect our national security,” stated Garrett Smith, Reveal’s CEO. “I look forward to his directorship and his mentorship.”
Critical to Reveal’s success has been a renewed defense technology innovation ecosystem, with support from Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL / AFWERX), and the many shareholders who supported Reveal from its inception, including venture capital firms Defy.vc and 8VC.
Reveal’s customers include the US Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as well as other US Federal agencies.
